When the weather dips below 50, the choice is either ramen or pho. While they are neck and neck, ramen wins by a hair. Seattle is home to many restaurants that serve the bowl of warm and savory goodness. This is from Betsutenjin Ramen in Capitol Hill. You cannot go wrong with either the hakata style or prawn miso. Both are fantastic. Foodie tip: add a soft-boiled egg for that Instagram worthy picture.
When you have very little time and on a budget, (pre-Covid) you can find deals on wheels right in the heart of downtown. Sam Choy's food truck is one of them. This delectable lunch plate is one of their more popular items - korean fried chicken. Foodie tip: request for two scoops of rice, if you are not a fan of macaroni salad such as myself.
Every summer, Seattle turns city blocks, parking lots and parks into culinary heaven. The South Lake Union street food festival is the largest one in the state. .
